This beautiful apartment was totally renovated by an architect and is located in an ideal location to go out and discover the full charms of the French capital – it is the perfect accommodation choice for groups of families or friends. This privileged location means that guests can enjoy some of the most romantic walks along the canal, lined with centenary chestnut and plane trees. The same area is home to some beautiful boutiques and bistros with real retro charm. It is also possible to take a cruise along the canal and enjoy a river-borne excursion. The elegant river ways and locks offer the real romantic ambience of the canal that is a true favourite among the Parisian locals and a popular meeting place for picnics. The canal is located opposite the accommodation. The
apartment is also just a ten-minute walk to the bohemian district of the Marais, and fifteen minutes by public transport to the Grands Magasins. Travelling around the city is quick and easy with the nearest metro station République (served by 5 of the 14 lines) only five minutes’ walk from the apartment and provides connections to the city centre, the Centre Pompidou, Opéra Garnier, Concorde, la Madeleine and the legendary Tour Eiffel. This comfortable 65m2 apartment is on the first floor (without a lift) of a charming, typically Parisian building with a beautiful paved and tree-lined inner courtyard. The building was home to the family of the famous French writer, poet and keen aviator Antoine de Saint Exupéry. Its layout, furnishing and comfort offer a serene ambience that is a perfect place to rest. It has been designed to comfortably sleep up to six people and includes a lounge (overlooking the courtyard) that is fitted with a sofa bed and designer, American-style kitchen that has been equipped with everything guests might need during their stay. The two bedrooms are tastefully decorated and peaceful (overlooking the courtyard) and have two single beds and a double. The fantastic bathroom has a bath, and is an ideal spot to relax after a long day’s walking around the streets of Paris. The toilet is independent. There is also a flat-screen television with cable channels, a HIFI/CD/DVD/Ipod/Iphone system and WIFI internet connection for work or leisure purposes. In the surrounding area there are shops open until 23h for making any necessary daily purchases. There are numerous trendy cafeterias and bars as well a great selection of restaurants to satisfy even the most demanding gourmets.
how clean everything was way above average Also how everything available (electrical appliances plates pans bed linen was absolutely excellent. Top marks. Have already been once and if I find another deal will definitely come again. Thank you.
also the location and area fantastic.
It's a lovely apartment- quirky, but not obtrusively so! The sofa is extremely comfy, but the chairs, though beautiful, are less so; perhaps cushions might be helpful? Loved the references to St Exupery's time here in the loo!
