Paris vacation rentals: Apartment in the heart of Montmartre

  Appartamento veramento confortevole, pulito e come da descrizione nella pagina web. Proprietario disponibilissimo. Unico "neo": sesto piano senza ascensore... :-)

  Easy to book - made the mistake of not reading description thoroughly so had a 6th floor apt with no lift - that was hard after long days at work at the exhibition we were in Paris for. Otherwise everything was good, clean flat, with all the basics needed to be comfortable, plenty of bedding. The ...area of the old town was a short walk with plenty of good restaurants.  

  Die Wohnung befindet sich im 6. Stock und leider gibt es keinen Aufzug. Allerdings war dies auch so angegeben. Man wird allerdings durch einen schönen Blick über ganz Paris inklusive Eiffelturm belohnt. Das Viertel ist sehr schön, und es gibt eine Menge Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im unmittelbaren ...Umfeld. Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine sehr schöne Wohnung. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

  A very nice appartment, in a nice neighbourhood, near 2 metro stations and a choice of restaurants, markets, and stores. The fact of being in a 6th floor makes it very quiet and far from the street noise, but you should be prepared to climb the stairs. The contact person was very kind and everything went as expected. We would definitelly rent it again.

  Overall, this apartment proved an excellent stay in Paris-- location convenient, clean spacious (for Paris) 1BR apartment, and a totally stunning view from the balcony. Small quibbles: 1) there is only one key for the apartment, so I had to co-ordinate with my share buddy about that; 2) plastic... wine glasses in the kitchen-- we ended up buying some ourselves that were left for future guests. Otherwise a fantastic stay. The owner was most friendly.  

  Die Lage der Wohnung ist optimal für Spaziergänge in Montmartre, die öffentliche Verkehrsanbindung ebenso. Der Vermieter ist sehr herzlich, zuverlässig und flexibel.

  We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment and would also recommend it to others, but would not give it a perfect rating for several reasons. The kitchen was too sparingly equipped. It was possible to cook some meals there, and the fridge and two burner stove worked well, but it could have been ...easier. We were instructed to be quiet because of the woman who lived downstairs. We tried, but still received complaints. Especially the doors closed noisily, which was impossible for the children. It was under the roof and got quite hot on the sunny days. It was in the 'red light' district, which didn't bother us directly, but made us a bit uneasily about letting the children out by themselves. A second set of keys would have been helpful, as we did divide up on some days. Now for the good things. It was very clean. The hot water for the showers and sink worked perfectly. There were two wonderful little balconies with lovely views. The large bed was comfortable and sturdy. (I didn't try the sleeping sofa.) The was lots of room for the four of us. We could get very easily to some places, by foot, or with the metro just 2 minutes away. Versailles was difficult. The owner was very friendly and punctual, spoke english well. And a good price in comparison to other apartments in the city.

  absolutely brilliant! 6 flights of stairs was nothing after the first day and very good for the thighs! Very clean and fresh.... and the views!!! amazing. the location i would give 100 out of 10 if that makes sense. The landlord was so friendly from the moment we met him to the time we left making... it very clear that we could contact him if we ever needed to, but we didn't as we had no problems. We were a party of 3 adults aged 36-40 and we were all very impressed. Thank you so much for making our first trip to Paris a smooth and memorable one. Kindest regards, Kerri from NZ..

  Charming apartment in a great location. Just a couple of things needed fixing - toilet seat and bathroom door handle.

  location du 31.01.2011 au 03.01.2011 en couple. appartement bien situé tout pres du moulin rouge,et du theatre de dix heure ou nous sommes allés. dommage que l'appartement n'ait pas été chauffé préalablement a notre arrivée.. il n'y avait pas de radiateur dans la chambre et cela faisait une ...bonne semaine que l'appartement n'avait pas eu d'occupant,cela en plus d'une mauvaise isolation,meme avec le chauffage de la salle de bain et du salon a fond, l'appartement a mis 48heures pour avoir une températhure agréable... 

  L'appartement était très bien, la personne de contact aussi. Cependant, il a beaucoup insisté pour nous remettre notre dépot par paypal en nous assurant que c'était simple et rapide. Nous désirions plutot le recevoir en cash et ce fut toute une saga! Premièrement, paypal ça prends plusieurs ...jours pour ouvrir un compte et le faire valider et il faut avoir le temps, les informations bancaires et l'ordinateur pour créer un compte...ce que l'on a pas toujours en vacances. Assurez vous de préciser vos demandes et de vous assurer de quitter à une heure décente car en cas de départ à l'aube, il ne viendra pas vous redonner votre dépot. Sinon, l'appartement manque cruellement de crochets (serviettes, manteaux), de poignées fonctionnelles et d'une ou deux petites tables de chevet. La vue est superbe (sauf pour l'appartement en face qui semble abandonné à tous vents) et le quartier est vraiment parfait, pour les courses (rue des Abbesses en haut de la rue Houdon) et pour le métro Pigalle (ou Abbesses) à 2 minutes. excellent service, nous reviendrons sur ce site!  

  super lage, schöne aussicht!

  Sweet, clean, old apartment with the beautiful view. Sofa bed, witch is on the picture is changed and it's quite comfortable to sleep on it. Bedroom good. 200m from supermarket Carrefour with fresh French bread, good vines and chees witch is much cheaper then in bakery on the corner. The place is in... heart of Montmartre, you have 3 min walk to Moulin Rouge, 5 min to Sacré Coeur and 100m metro station Pigalle. The bike station is also very close. Neighborhood is quite loud- day and night. And don%u2019t be afraid of 6th floor, only first day is hard :) Contact person veary friendly! 

  Sehr schöne Lage mitten in Monmatre - mit fabelhaften Ausblick auf Paris! Der Vermitter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

  The view from the apartment is breath-taking. The apartment itself is attractively furnitured, though it only covers basic needs (there are no hooks for cloath or towels for example). If your planning on having parties in this apartment, forget it. The neighbours below are VERY sensitive to noise and they don't hesitate to knock hard on their ceilings.

  nell'insieme l'appartamento è stato molto buono, l'unico difetto trovato e non descritto è stata la posizione al sesto piano senza ascensore!!! Altra cosa, ma meno problematica, che non aveva molte stoviglie in cucina (pochi piatti, pentole,...) e asenza di carta igienica, scottex... Comunque ...nell'insieme mi sono trovata molto bene, la vista dall'appartamento era eccezionale. 

  Location is perfect, contact person is very kind and punctual. They were very helpful in arranging visa formalities.

  Wir hatten traumhafte Tage in Paris, nicht zuletzt wegen der wunderbaren Wohnung in genialer Lage, mit bombastischer Aussicht. Jederzeit wieder! Hat alles sehr gut geklappt.

  The apartment was as promised 6 floors up which was quite taxing, even after a few days practise. The entry into the apartment has a red tiled floor which appears a little dated but don't let this put you off as it sets the tone for the rest of the place. The apartment is bedecked with old ...mirrors, pictures and masonry. The bathroom is well appointed but ladies should be aware that they may be visible when showering from the window opposite. My job was to have the first shower and steam up the window! The bedroom has more than sufficient storage and extra blankets. It can get warm in the summer even with the window open but you can then hear the ambience of central Paris. The kitchen is bijou with a 2 ring ceramic hob, a fridge, a microwave, coffee machine and kettle. Sufficient crockery exists.The main living room has a wide settee cum bed, a table for eating and some old chairs. The TV (with French TV channels only) and the router allow some modern connectivity. However, to save the best for last, and this is a sheer delight: the view from either balcony is breathtaking: from the Arc du Triomphe, past the Eiffel Tower to the gold roof of the French Institution and a myriad of churches in between - superb. I can recall taking one last look before we left. Many evening was spent just watching the lights on the Eiffel Tower flicker and watching the people wander by in Pigalle central. Don't be perturbed by the vicinity of the red light district. Yes it is just around the corner but life goes on. Shopping can be done by using the superb Carrefour 200m turn left at the bottom of Rue Houdon. There is a superb bakery at the bottom of the road and McCafe just on the right. The Pigalle Metro (one book of 10 tickets cost 25 Euros) is just outside the door - ideal. In summary the apartment is not ideally set up with all the modern conveniences you may have at home but the location and that view are magnificent. Value for Money I'd give it 10/10. 

  Die Ausstattung war sehr einfach - stimmte nicht mit den Internet Bildern überein. 6. Etage (ohne Aufzug) - nicht zumutbar. Folgende im Internet angegebenen Einrichtungsgegenstände waren NICHT vorhanden: Video, HiFi, Toaster, Ofen; Fruchtpresse, Bügeleisen. KEINE Steckdose im Bad !!!

Der Eigentümer bestätigt, dass alle Gegenstände aus der Beschreibung auch in der Wohnung vorhanden sind.

  Some furnishings/fittings were rather basic, but everything was really clean and everything worked (apart from a few light bulbs!) The location is superb - only a few steps from Pigale Metro but not at all noisy - loads of shops, bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. You have to climb six ...flights of stairs, but the view when you get there: wow! - all of Paris - beautiful! A very warm and friendly welcome too.  

  War genauso wie beschrieben, die Aussicht war toll, für uns war es perfekt! Direkt an der metro, in Nähe von Supermärkten.

  Tolle Lage, toller Ausblick - da lohnt sich der Aufstieg in den 6ten Stock. Leider ist die Wohnung NICHT wie in der Beschreibung ausgestattet...es fehlen u.a.: Ofen, Hifi-Anlage, Video... Außerdem klebt ein Nicht-Raucherschild an der Tür!? Besteck ist verbogen, Teller nur in kleiner Anzahl ...vorhanden - wenn das geändert würde: auch hier volle Punktzahl. Das Mobiliar wurde modernisiert und ist jetzt schöner als auf den Bildern. Der freie Wifi-Anschluß war Gold wert. 

  Wirklich sehr schönes Appartement - Alle, die französische Atmosphäre lieben, werden hier zufrieden sein - Blick: ein Traum - Ausstattung der Küche etwas spartanisch, war für uns aber kein Problem - beim nächsten Mal kommen wir gern wieder hierher!

  On the website it inidicated that the appratment had an iron which turned out not to be the case. Thus, my recommendation is that you just verify these items with the owners. That, however was the only inconvenience. Other than that it was exactly how it was advertised.

  appartamento spazioso, proprietario cordiale, bella vista,la "caffettiera" è quella con bollitore brocca e filtri di carta per caffè all'americana, il divano è nuovo, le maniglie e le prese di corrente non sono in perfetto stato ma non ho avuto nessun problema, un termoconvettore in salotto,C'E' ...LA FINESTRA IN BAGNO C'E'.. la doccia è potente..ci starebbe bene uno stereo..ci tornerei  

  Excellent apartment, the owner was very friendly and explained us everything We needed to know regarding the apartment and location. Building only 30 metres from metro pigalle and around 300 metres from famous cabaret Moulin Rouge. Excellent views over Paris including Eiffel tower. Quiet ...accommodation in a very vibrating area of central Paris. The only disadvantage was the fact that there is no lift but we knew abou it beforehand from the description. No problems whatsoever. Very happy after all!  

  The first night the door was locked and so the reference guy has broken the lock and the door. Next day the door has been fixed. In our opinion the apartment was too cold, especially the bedroom, so we bought an electric heater...

  A fantastic little Parisian apartment with a very homely feel, surrounded by everything you may need and very accessible by metro. Furthermore the owner was very lovely and accommodating.

  schöne wohnung mit toller aussicht auf die stadt. entsprach genau der beschreibung. wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. der vermieter war sehr freundlich und flexibel.

  The apartment looked bigger on the website than what it really was. That was a bit disappointing. The kitchen was poorly equipped with few facilities. Without an extra heater in one of the rooms it would have been really cold for us but in the living room the heating was working perfectly. Also ...the apartment was on the 6th floor without a lift. Apart from these details, it was an ok stay for us. The location was convenient as we could walk by to many places and also the metro station was pretty close from the apartment.  

  Everything great as advertized. Place clean, location convenient, contact person responsive and punctual. Just two things that could be annoying. The downstairs neighbor who is hyper-sensitive to even the slightest noise and no hook for bath towel - I even requested beforehand and was answered that it was taken care of.

  Generally the apartment was excellent, with lovely views all over Parisbut I expected it to be more new from what I saw in the photos. We thought it was an excellent location. There are also bars and supermarkets closeby, and a metro stop 30-40 metres away. The neighbour downstairs complained about ...the noise we made during the day and night, but the owner said not to worry about her. Service by the agency was great, I would use their services again.  

  Ausgezeichnete Lage im wohl schönsten Quartier von Paris. Gute Anbindung mit Bus zum Zentrum (Seine, Museen, Notre-Dame etc) und gute Einkaufs- oder Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten in Gehdistanz. Sehr sympatischer Vermieter!

  Perfetto, pulito. L'unica cosa che non c'erano le tende nella camera da letto.

  Lage perfekt in Montmatre, Schlafzimmer zum Innenhof ist ruhig,der Ausblick über die Dächer von Paris ist herrlich. Nachteil: 6. Stock ohne Lift. Ideal für 2 - 3 Personen. Bett und Matraze sind gut.

  The apartment was very close to Pigalle line 2 metro station, so walking to station was easy. The contact person was at the door on arrival, so this was good. The apartment looks like the photos, but is a lot older when seen in real life. It is clean, but old. It is very comfortable for a couple, we... did not cook, only made coffee and used the fridge. It has two small balconies which need very small seats for 2 people to enjoy. We loved the position, easy to walk everywhere. Only downside is 6 floors to climb every day, but if you are fit it is not a problem. I think for our price it was what I was expecting. We stayed 7 nights which was long enough for Paris, it is in Montmartre which is a very crowded cosmopolitan area with lots of comings and goings by all types of people. I would stay in this area again and I would stay at the same apartment. 

  Super place for a holiday in Paris.Anywhere near : metro, shop Carefour,bakery restaurant.Flat like the pictures on the website,bed comfortable and clean.No lift but a beautiful view from the balcony.Deposit no problem refunded.I RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!

  Einfache, aber ausreichende Ausstattung

  This is a really great apartment - fantastic views make the climb to the sixth floor absolutely worthwhile! And there's a really warm and helpful welcome too. Location is excellent - very close to the metro, bars, shops, restaurants, etc., but actually very quiet in the apartment itself.

  l'alloggio l'abbiamo trovato a misura delle nostre esigenze e molto carino e ben arredato, forse andrebbe specificato meglio che l'appartamento si trova a un sesto piano senza ascensore... Probabilmente è scritto nel sito e noi non abbiamo letto con attenzione ma se una persona ha qualche difficoltà fisica potrebbe avere dei disagi..

  Lounge lovely. Bedroom spartan. Some stuff broken. Views from balcony excellent. Overall very happy.

  The apartment on the 6th floor of he rue Houdon was an absolute gem of a space. With views that take in most of the major sites of Paris (specifically the Eiffel Tour and Arc de Triomphe), is something that both fist time and returning visitors will appreciate, as the sip wine of the balcony. The ...access to stores, resturants and the proximiy of the Pigglae Metro stop, make you feel like you are a Parisian from the day you arrive. 

  Flat is on the 6th floor with no fire escape so a smoke detector in the flat and the landing outside would be a good safety feature. Contact folks were extremely helpful. The flat is in an excellent location for local shops. bars and restaurants as well as acess to the metro.

  Die Wohnung war in Ordnung. Alles wie beschrieben.

  We found the apartment very clean and comfortable, and in a great location. With a great view also! It did take a little while to warm up though, with only the one heater in the living area which meant the bedroom was cooler, but not terribly so. There were extra blankets available also. Would definitely stay again.

  Todo esta genial excelente ubicación y el barrio súper bien. Lo único que deben tomar en cuenta es que son seis pisos se los recomiendo sólo si tienen buena condición son bastantes pisos.

  Es war alles in bester Ordnung.

  The apartment is in a great location being only a minute from train and bus lines. We knew about the six flights of stairs so that was as expected. The climb perhaps does limit your desire to pop out for a minute or two so planning is important. The view from the little balconies is great but ...unfortunately the weather stopped us from using them in any meaningful way. The kitchen is tiny and probably restricts ability to cook any reasonable meal at the apartment. Possibly could have some better utensils. Bathroom and bedroom were both of a good standard.  

  Prima Lage für Erkundungen der Stadt zu Fuß oder per Metro (Station Pigalle quasi vor der Haustür), alle notwendigen Geschäfte und Serviceleistungen (Bankautomat, Apotheke) direkt vor Ort, ebenso Cafes und Bars. In den sechsten Stock sind es 116 Stufen auf einer breiten Treppe mit dickem Teppich... - nach ein paar Tagen geht das ganz gut :). Die Wohnung ist etwas ramponierter als auf den Fotos zu sehen. Türgriffe wackeln, die Dachfenster in Bad und Schlafzimmer sind zugig, die Küchenausstatttung ist spartanisch aber es ist alles da was man braucht. Fön gibt es keinen. Wunderbarer Blick über die Stadt von den beiden je 1qm-großen Balkonen. Kontaktperson pünktlich & freundlich.  

  Die Wohnung war super, nur die Küche war ein bisschen knapp von der Ausstattung, aber wir haben uns gut einrichten können.

  Great location with easy access to the metro, fantastic views over Paris and of the Eiffel tower especially at night when the lights sparkle on the hour.The owner was lovely and helpful .The apartment itself was clean however it could do with a fresh coat of paint but all up great place and would definitely stay again.

  Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in der Wohnung, die Einrichtung ist speziell, wenn auch etwas abgewohnter als auf den Fotos, die Ausstattung der Küche ist einfach, aber ausreichend, der Blick von oben über Paris großartig, das Schlafzimmer mit Fenster in den Hinterhof für eine Großstadt überraschend ruhig. Wir kommen gerne wieder

  The view over Paris is awesome! The contact-person helped carrying our luggage in the 6th floor (it wasn't as easy as it might look). The furniture was sparse but adequately. The kitchen provide enough to cook some little menus. Regretfully the doorknobs and the sockets have past their sell-by ...dates. The size of the apartment is big enough for as much as 2 persons but it is also sufficient for 4. We best like the bright atmosphere of the living room. But even so the bedroom (getting awake by the first sunbeams make every day better). In the living room it is noisy because of the street. But this do not affect the sleep-quality because the bedroom is situated to the inner courtyard. Overall it was a magnificent paris stay and we can recommend this apartment with very good reason! :) 

  Herrlicher Blick über die Stadt, sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung, alles Wichtige in der Nähe, nette Wohnung, Austattung und Zustand der Wohnnug eher mäßig.

  sehr gute Lage mit Supermarkt (geöffnet bis Mitternacht), Bioladen und Bäcker. Schöne Wohnung. Vermieter sehr freundlich. 2 U-Bahnstationen in der Nähe. Herrlicher Blick über den Westteil von Paris.

  Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, bemüht und pünktlich. Die Wohnung ist exakt wie auf den Fotos im Internet, groß genug für vier Personen, zweckmäßig eingerichtet, hat ein schönes Bad und einen tollen Ausblick über Paris. Das Schlafzimmer liegt zum Hinterhof und ist sehr ruhig, obwohl man ...mitten in Paris ist. Sämtliche Geschäft und die U-Bahn-Station sind gleich um die Ecke. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort wohnen. 

  The apartment is in an excellent location, well furnished with great views. Extra pillows and some basic provisions such as toilet paper and slat and pepper would be advantageous.

  Ligging beneden aan de weg niet zo leuk,veel sexshops e.d.Balletje,balletje, jonge mannen die telefoons aanbieden..Naar boven toe,richting Montmartre een leukere sfeer met aparte winkeltjes en restaurants.Wel supercentraal gelegen,dat was wel een voordeel.Appartement was niet wat ik ervan gehoopt ...had.Een zeer karige keuken en ook het interieur was niet echt comfortabel.De slaapbank sliep echter goed,gelukkig maar..Uitzicht op het kleine balkon prachtig,maar elke dag wel een hele klim zes trappen op.Benedenbuurvrouw hing 's avonds een soort dreigende brief op aan de deurknop over wat er van " goede buren" verwacht werd...schoenen uit!!!.... 

  Die Dusche müsste einmal besser gereinigt werden, es gibt Schimmel in den Fugen. Ansonsten ist die Sauberkeit in Ordnung, aber es war nicht 100%ig. Ansonsten aber so wie abgebildet auf den Fotos und sehr schön.

  Udsigten til Eiffeltårnet er fantastisk. Lejligheden ligger 2 min fra Metrostationen Pigalle og 5 min fra Rue des Abbesses som er en hyggelig gade med delikatesseforretninger og cafeer. 10 min til Sacre Coeur.

  Parfait

  Excellent location being very close to the Pigalle Metro and the great shops / cafes around Pl. des Abbesses. Very chic, comfortable and well equipped apartment, exactly like the images, with sensational views from the two little balconies. Would be most suited for two people. Kitchen and bathroom ...could be a little cleaner. Contact person on time and very helpful. 

  The apartment has the most amazing view. It is 114 stairs up to the apartment so do be aware of that as the building has no lift. The view is entirely worth it though and the apartment is spacious and clean. The kitchen is ample and there are many amazing restaurants close by (it is Paris, after ...all). Montmartre is a great area to stay in for tourists - you'll find the cafes etc generally have english menus and so on. Head up the hill and to your left to find some of the loveliest cafes I have ever eaten at. Loved it.
