"A lovely airy apartment in an 'interesting' area. Can be quite noisy, but never short of entertainment on the street below. Everything you need is close by. Make sure you are shown how to use the tv as It is impossible to master yourself."

"Because we stayed here for one month, we found this apartment ideal for location for several reasons. We had good availability of food shops and produce stalls on the next street for cooking our own food. If we wanted to eat out then the restaurant on the ground floor had tasty food and reasonable prices. The Metro stop was only down one block and there was 3 lines from this station giving access to most of the city. The bus stops were close by as well but had less routes. Two train stations were within a 15 minute walk and they were also stops on a bus route.
The layout of the apartment was interestingly different to North Americans but worked well. The kitchen is narrow and appliances are small but were quite adequate for our needs. The very squeaky floors and thin walls would make this apartment not suitable for those who need a quiet space. Those with health issues need to realize that access to this apartment is first gained by a long flight of stairs before an elevator is used to rise two more floors or climb another two flights of stairs. There is a security door at the entrance of the building and the apartment door had a very good locking system, too.
We dealt with two contact people and neither had a good knowledge of English and because our French was also poor, this made for some communication difficulties. Luckily, they each knew someone who had better English skills so questions were able to be answered after translations.
We would stay here again for an extended time."

"We were delighted with every aspect of the apartment.Rodride and Louise were very welcoming and helpful.
We loved the area as it was so lively and had a local atmosphere but it may be too lively for some.It was close to everything.
It made for a most memorable christmas stay and was everything we could have wanted or needed.We loved the balconies.
The only downs were the dingy and aromatic trip down the stairs in the building and a scary encounter with one neighbour.Need to bring hand soap-none supplied, but everything else was, including dishwashing liquid, cleaning products and linen.
Worth noting that parking is a walk away so unpacking and packing are hard work especially as lift starts at first floor"

"This is a very pleasant and light appartment with good beds in French sizes, ideally located near most interesting areas, near the important metrostation Strasbourg-St Denis and with a Velibstation in front of the appartment. It is next to the lively and welcoming rue du Faubour St Denis with many good foodshops and an excellent covered market at its end, almost 24/7 busy, but the double glazing keeps all noise out. The representative of the owner is very helpful."
